Bob and Mike are back in the home office for one final offseason episode before Command the Commute returns to the road. The guys toast one year of the podcast, break down the newly released Commanders uniform schedule, look ahead to training camp and the preseason opener against Miami, and begin planning their first game-day trip of Season 2.
They also discuss the latest stadium updates, the proposed “Washington Wall,” and John Riggins’ No. 44 jersey retirement. In this episode’s Depth Check, Bob and Mike take a closer look at the offensive line and why the health of Laremy Tunsil, Josh Conerly Jr., Sam Cosmi, Chris Paul and Nick Allegretti could be critical to protecting Jayden Daniels.
Plus, the Brandon Aiyuk saga appears to be over, RG3 keeps talking, the guys react to NFC East win totals, revisit listener comments, ask for fantasy football advice and close things out with the usual fourth-quarter mix of movies, television and completely random conversations.
Hail to the Commanders. Hail to the Redskins. Hail to Command the Commute.

This is the Command the Commute Podcast.
SPEAKER_03Talking about the game, going to the game.
SPEAKER_02Three, two, one. Go, Mike. Hey, we're on the pod.
SPEAKER_03Hey, uh, how are you doing?
SPEAKER_02Good, good. We're up and running. You know, we only do one take on this shit. So however it comes out is how it comes out.
SPEAKER_03That's right. You know, we don't have that kind of time.
SPEAKER_02No, we are live, everybody. Welcome to the Command the Commute podcast. Uh, Mike, I don't know how we haven't mentioned it in our pre-pod conversation, but our next podcast is gonna be on the road, my friend. Did you put that together as you were coming over the next pod? No. Yeah, I'm telling you.
SPEAKER_03I I do one pod at a time. I don't really think too far into it.
SPEAKER_02Well, I know, but don't you just get the juices flowing knowing that we're gonna be doing commanding the commute on the command the commute on the way? I mean, I am getting more excited, let's be honest. Like, I texted you the other day, like our first our first preseason game. Yes, the season is getting close. The season's getting close.
SPEAKER_03We'll be here before we know it.
SPEAKER_02Like, hell, this is practically August at this point of being. Miami Dolphins, week one uh preseason, uh, August 14th, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. August 14th. August 14th. It's like a seven o'clock game, Friday night. Friday night, seven o'clock. We're gonna be getting off of work. I'm gonna try to get off work just a smidge early.
SPEAKER_03Hopefully, no one's I would say that was a little bit more.
SPEAKER_02Hopefully, none of my co-workers are are listening. Well, I don't care if my co-workers listen to this. My manager's listening, like, yeah, I might be dipping out like just a smidge early on a Friday. But like any smidge early on the front end. You know, I wish that really made a difference because I do go in early and uh It doesn't work out. I mean the hours are what the hours are. Right. You're kind of locked up. They're posted for people to stop by between like we close at five. So it's one of those deals. If like you're coming in, I I'm not a cook people, but like if you came into the restaurant at five minutes before close, like the cook still gotta cook. So I'm cooking. You know, that's all I'm saying. But to toast our uh to toast our next episode of Commanding the Community and our season long, we're gonna make a season-long thing here with this massive bottle of Jack Daniels. Our J D on the Rocks. It's a birthday gift that Mike's letting me partake in. Isn't that funny? I give him a birthday gift and he like lets me have it. I actually can look at it. We're gonna test it out each podcast all season long. Well, all season long we're gonna test this up.
SPEAKER_03That and tailgating, and we'll see how long it uh Yeah.
SPEAKER_02How long it lasts. How much of this do you think we're actually gonna drink, buddy? Do you think it makes it to the bottom?
SPEAKER_03Uh well, we have an early bio week, so yeah. Well, I don't know. That's a that's a heavy pour there.
SPEAKER_02Maybe well, the first one should. We're toasting basically the season two.
SPEAKER_03But it'll last however long it'll last. Like it is what it is.
SPEAKER_02Yes, yes, yes. All right. Cheers, my friend, to season two of the pod.
SPEAKER_03If you don't realize this, this time last year is when we recorded our first ever season two of the podcast, season three as season ticket holder.
SPEAKER_02Yes. And um, yes, I mean, everything's just everything's just working out. So cheers to Command the Commute uh for our one-year anniversary, basically.
SPEAKER_03And I guess it was about we did start it about this time.
SPEAKER_02Yes, yes, go back and listen. I'm telling you. I mean, I shouldn't. I shouldn't have to tell you to go back and listen. You should just be able to remember it. Yeah. Uh anyway, so welcome everybody else. Uh so in the first, just to I always kind of set the agenda for what to expect with the pod. So, quarter one of the pod, obviously, you just heard we're we're toasting ourselves our one-year anniversary of Command the Commute. We're um I I want to go through our uniform schedule they just dropped. You know, we get used to pulling out. We get itching for what they uh what they're gonna wear from from week to week. Um and then so we'll we'll talk about that the preseason. We'll we'll we gotta kind of wrap up our our thought process on the preseason week one, our first uh command the commute. Uh what are we calling that? What's that? Like when we command the commute. I mean, every podcast we're commanding the commute because that's the name of our our pod. But like when we drive to the game and record.
SPEAKER_03We're commanding the commute.
SPEAKER_02We gotta come up with something. Sound off in the comments what we should drive we'll call our podcast when we when we go to the game.
SPEAKER_03Like, we're commanding the commute. That's the name of the damn podcast. That's what we're doing. Like, you're a big one.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, but we're commanding the commute right now.
SPEAKER_03At home. At home, which is what you say at the beginning of these episodes. So like it is.
SPEAKER_02Anywho, um, we have a stadium update in quarter two, and we have another uh Jersey retirement to look forward to this season. Um quarter three is gonna be our depth check. If you listen to last episode, we went through our running backs. This pod, we are going through the offensive line. Uh really the heart and soul of the team, if you think about it down in the trenches. Because you could argue D-line, but the O-line needs to protect. The O-line is you like your D line needs to be the best, but your O-line needs to be better. You know what I'm saying? And then uh fourth quarter, as usual, it's just kind of our hodgepodge, whatever comes to mind, just uh no no set agenda.
SPEAKER_03And we do have a variety of topics to cover in in that.
SPEAKER_02I wish we could kind of mix in those things throughout because there's like more things to talk about in the fourth quarter than there is in the other three. Um, but that's how it goes. You know, you start calling timeouts and audibles and stuff in the fourth quarter, it gets a little long, maybe even into overtime. I know everybody heard that swear. So, first quarter here. Um, you know, our rosters come together. I'm still waiting for that one more signing here, but training camp's still kind of getting into it. And from all the reports I've been seeing from all the practices that we've had thus far, like everybody's showing up. Everybody more or less is healthy, knock on wood, because you jinxed us last year and didn't knock on wood. We're in a car, there's no wood to knock on. So I apologize. I mean, you said, Oh, yeah, we're super healthy, like week one, and look what can happen.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I'm yeah, I messed, I messed up. Okay.
SPEAKER_02It is your fault. I mean, we'll accept all the hate as a pod, but he should uh receive it personally. Um and then so uh yeah, everything I'm seeing, all all good, all good headlines. Um, the only sour headline from the off-season that even remotely comes close to us is just Brandon Ayuk.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and you know we've we've had discussions last off-air. I've kind of quit following it because it's just it's just ramblings of a crazy person at this point.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, in our last pod, we were of the consensus. So about uh a little bit over a month ago, probably five, five and a half weeks ago, we did our last pod. And we both came away at that time, even with some of his Instagram stories and videos. Because it was just kind of we came away from that podcast both saying, you know, for the right price, we'll take them. Now, fast forward five and a half, six weeks later. He's off the hook. We I can't be a fan of him.
SPEAKER_03I mean, you can't. I mean, he's he's attacking everyone. Like, I haven't even watched the last couple uh Instagram videos, but I mean, he's just he's attacking anyone and everyone for really no apparent reason. Yeah, but like we talked about before, he has no one to blame but himself because he wasn't doing the shit that he needed to do.
SPEAKER_02You had a good two seasons in the NFL, like the sense of entitlement is just kind of crazy, you know.
SPEAKER_03I I just so I don't want anything to do with him right now.
SPEAKER_02We were giving him benefit of the doubt. This podcast was given Brandon Ayuk benefit of the doubt a month, month and a half ago. Yeah, we were still on board with the idea, and now it's just can't be a fan of them.
SPEAKER_03I I I don't care what sign digs, sign anyone else.
SPEAKER_02I I've heard digs thrown out there, I've heard the other digs as well, the digs brothers being a conversation. Um, and then Kevin Allen, I've I've he's been on my fantasy team so many times, and he's given me some good, he's given me some bad.
SPEAKER_03But I I do not want to sign Brandon. I want nothing to do with him. He he's gonna be completely toxic to our team if if they sign him. But I don't think even though him and JD are close, I don't think they're close behind closed doors. I think JD is smart enough to say, no, you don't want to bring him in. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I i yeah, I don't it just seems like even if things start good, it seems they're gonna end bad. Yeah, it just seems eventually it's gonna be drama. It's like how many touchdowns do we are we really gonna pay for?
SPEAKER_03Because who was that in New England? Was it AJ Brown who who uh threw his jersey off? No, no, no, no, no, no, that was Antonio Brown. Okay, yeah. But uh it's kind of gonna be that thing. It might start off good, but it's gonna when it ends bad, it's gonna be explosive.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I don't want no parts of that shit, man. I don't want no parts of that shit. You got that uh uniform schedule full? Yeah, I do. Do they give the preseason or does it just start at week one?
SPEAKER_03Uh it just starts with week one. Sorry, I gotta pull it up again. It didn't I didn't take a picture of it. I just had the Facebook page of that.
SPEAKER_02Were you did you get on the Redskins app or the Commander's app?
SPEAKER_03No, I just went to their Facebook page because I knew where it was. Oh, okay. Um so I'll go buy uniform.
SPEAKER_02Well, wait, before you ramble them off on just for the record, what's your favorite? Because we've seen what the new um helmet and top um combinations and what they look like uh basically are whites or the Super Bowl era right whites from last year. And the Burgundy is basically that. We've gone back. So basically we we know what they look like. We do we're red skins without the bigger. But what is your favorite color combo with like pants and jersey? Because this list doesn't give the pants. They're gonna give us the pants combination that uh the week before the game. This is just this list is just for white, burgundy, and black tops.
SPEAKER_03So just based off of the top, it's the new black uniform.
SPEAKER_02But do you think they go they they definitely go black tops, black pants with those? But like I wouldn't mind seeing with a burgundy pant with the black jerseys.
SPEAKER_03No, I I mean I I I think I think with the black jersey, much like the burgundy or the white go with the gold pants. Especially with the black top, I think the gold pants with the black?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I think that would just that we look a lot like the Steelers.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but I think the combination with the way they've done the color palette of our black.
SPEAKER_02Let me see those black ones again. Is there a stripe down the side? Oh that's what so it only the yellow is is like a a silhouette color, but I think it's my favorite color combo of all time has been burgundy uh jersey gold pants. I really love that that color combo.
SPEAKER_03I mean the the white I like the gold pants are underutilized to begin with.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I the whites you rarely see white on gold pants. Um because white on burgundy pants looks really slick, and white on white pants looks better.
SPEAKER_03They do have white on gold as part of like the combo picture there.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Um I like the white on gold. I like the white gold. I mean, honestly, I like the gold pants in general.
SPEAKER_03I mean, however they do it, it's still gonna look good.
SPEAKER_02All right, so give me week one. Uh I'm just gonna go by just ramble off.
SPEAKER_03So for the burgundy uniform, we are I think that's the uniform we're wearing the most. Uh week two.
SPEAKER_02I think nine weeks I saw.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Week two at Dallas, week three against Seattle, week four against Indianapolis, week eight against Philly, and week nine against the Rams.
SPEAKER_02Do we know?
SPEAKER_03And then not done for the Burgundy, week ten against New York, week fourteen against Houston, week sixteen against Minnesota, and then uh week eighteen against Dallas. That's for the Burgundy uniform. And this comes straight from their Facebook page, which is everywhere. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So uh and then let me make sure I have this right. The white uniforms we are wearing those on week one against the Eagles, week five against New York, week six against San Francisco, week twelve against Arizona, week thirteen against Tennessee, and week seventeen against Jacksonville. And then that leaves the black uniforms, which just like in previous seasons, they rarely wear the black uniforms, uh, only three weeks were wearing those. Um sorry, two, two weeks. Two weeks. Week eleven against the Bengals, and week fifteen against Atlanta.
SPEAKER_02Dude, Atlanta sucks.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Wait. So I wouldn't be surprised like a quarterback these days. So against the Bengals, I wouldn't be surprised if we're wearing the black uniforms. They'll probably wear red. No, I think they might wear white.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03They're they're all white. Yeah, the black versus red would be weird. Well, red's not they're black and orange. They don't have a red uniform. Falcons? No, I'm talking the Bengals. I thought you said Falcons. No. I said Cincinnati.
SPEAKER_02I don't know.
SPEAKER_03And our editor Tom will tell us if I would.
SPEAKER_02No, no, no, no. You're we're right. So, but wait, would you say it's Bengals and Falcons are black jerseys? Yeah. Okay, all right, sorry, all right, cool. But yeah, dude, Falcons suck. Can can you look up who the Falcons quarterback is with here? Did they sign Tula or Murray?
SPEAKER_03Um I'll look it up and get back to you.
SPEAKER_02Alright. Um which leads us to the first preseason game, Miami. I don't care what they're wearing. It's a Friday night football. Um, dude, what what are we gonna eat?
SPEAKER_03I haven't even thought that far ahead. You haven't got a monk yet. Ask me in three weeks. We're not cooking anything. Right, we're just gonna do stadium food. All that stuff they've lowered the tick the prices, remember?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, no, they've got new. Alright, so that we're gonna eat in the stadium. Check out their new shit.
SPEAKER_03Uh Michael Penix is the starter, followed by Tua. As the prime he's the primary backup to that uh Trevor Simeon. Yeah. He used to be on our team, I think. I think he was, yeah. But anyway, yeah, that's what we're when we go to the preseason game, we're just gonna eat stadium food.
SPEAKER_02Dude, if Tua can't take the job from Penix, then he needs to he need he might be our Don't Come Back Player of the Year, which I don't know if we've mentioned yet, but uh our winner of Don't Come Back Player of the Year, Russell Wilson from last year, is not coming back.
SPEAKER_03So yeah, he's he works for CBS Sports now.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we were right.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Last I seen of that guy, he was on the Savannah Bananas looking in baseball pants. You seen that? No. He was. He came in at bat and was looking a little chunky. And it's like, uh, I don't think his tryouts are gonna go that well. Anyway, um for our loyal listeners, you know, my fake ads. God, I love making those fake ads, but old pops reminded me of a real uh ad of uh Joe Jacoby back in the 80s doing an advertisement for for like color TV, like a new flat screen. And it was so funny in the advertisement. I posted it to TikTok to look. And as he's saying, check out our new TVs, he's pointing down like this, but the TV's up here. So as I play the ad, re rewatch that video, because it's my dad's favorite part. He's going, check out our new TVs, and it's and it's up here.
SPEAKER_01Television can be like this, or it can be like this. And this is Theater Vision.
SPEAKER_04Hi, I'm Mark May. I am Joe Jacoby of the Washington Red Camp.
SPEAKER_01I'd like you to watch this this year on a life-size screen from Theatre Vision. And yes, and you can have this set here a 15-inch four-foot screen for the veto at $8.95. This is hundreds of dollars less than our competitors. We can make an offer like this because we make these units right here in our factory. We're the innovators and patent holders of One Piece Projection Giant TV, and we license our patents to many other well-known companies. Now you can buy factory direct. So why buy an imitation? SPEAKER_02We're back into it. Oh, yeah, you gotta check out that video because it's funny. Check out my TV. It's down here. We don't have the rights to that. I don't know if that business is still in business. Don't call the phone number that's at the end, please. Thank you. Uh the stadium update, man. God, are you itching for the new stadium? They put out new renderings. You told me uh about a week ago to look at them, and I did.
SPEAKER_03Um it shows like the like available courtyard. Yeah, courtyard rose garden type thing.
SPEAKER_02God, if if we're awesome, it's just gonna be uh a hail to the Redskins flowing through that courtyard. If we suck, it's gonna be every other team's chant. You know that?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I mean, if if if it sucks, you know, they'll probably pave over it. Who knows?
SPEAKER_02It looks like there is a ton of like beautiful flowers and vegetation and everything around. I'm just like, yeah. They probably had similar renderings for FedEx like that, and now it's all overrun with trash. I wonder how clean it's actually all gonna be. I mean, benefit of the doubt is there. We are, you know, we're not worthy of the new ownership group. So we're still bowing down to them, uh, but I hope it's it says advertised.
SPEAKER_03It looks yeah, it it looks real nice.
SPEAKER_02I don't even think it's really hit us how cool it's gonna be to go to these games and not really have to be concerned about the weather. Yeah, we we briefly uh I mean we're aware that that's gonna be a thing, but like I don't think it's hit us that we're not gonna be cold watching games in in November, December, you don't have to worry about the weather. I mean, if we won't have to layer up anymore. If it's pouring down rain, we don't have to worry about you know tailgate and what it's gonna do to our food and all that. It's just like, hey, let's just go in and chill out. Indoors in the massive building. Yeah. The massive football building.
SPEAKER_03But no, I I briefly mentioned that to you last year.
SPEAKER_02The translucent roof, I mean, they're not calling it glass, but like what's it made of when they say translucent? I don't know if that's been disclosed, but they're just calling it translucent roof. But I don't know. But the whole point of this segment of the stadium update, did you see or look into what I was talking about, what they're calling the Washington wall? No, I did not. Okay, so you know how RFK, you know, they moved out of there for a reason. You know, the building wasn't sound. It was not great. I mean, but everybody's like, the stadium would rock. And it's like, and then you they'd say that was like the whole lore of the place, is it would literally rock. And it's like, okay, people, that's because the construction materials were like degrading. The place was literally gonna fall apart. It was rocking for no good reason.
SPEAKER_03You got to the sewer system fell.
SPEAKER_02They were one Super Bowl away from a catastrophe. I mean, really, the whole place could have fell apart. Um, but they're adding a section of one of the end zone um where there's it's gonna be constructed and engineered this way. It's not gonna just be made of shitty building materials, but it's literally gonna rock. Really? Oh, cool. It's gonna shake. Um, which I'm gonna keep putting this out there into the universe. I put this out there a couple years back just in my family um group game, but like when you see the wave, how come the wave always is around the stadium? Why is it like has nobody done the wave where it starts from the first row down or and go up and then back down? Like a wave, like a pulse. Right. Like it's just has no one done that? I guess it would be too difficult to coordinate.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's easier to coordinate the person next to you instead of you know. Yeah. Because I mean, think about it. Our seats are in the upper, so like we're gonna be the last ones, and it's but it's hard to like why do I feel like other countries are better at coordinating that kind of shit?
SPEAKER_02You know, from this World Cup, you know, I've been noticing these fan bases, they've got their own chants and stuff like that. You don't really see a lot of whole chance over here in America like they do with with soccer. Um I don't really think about it. I don't know. And you know, another thing I was thinking about with this World Cup being president? Because I watched a couple games. By no means am I a soccer fan, but I did get into it. I I mean I was disappointed when America lost. But like America, we've got a lot of people. Why do we suck at soccer compared to the rest of the world? I know that we've got maybe it's because we've got all the other sports that were dominating it.
SPEAKER_03And it's just like No, we suck at soccer because unlike Spain and all the other countries, we're not uh getting the kids when they're young and just throwing them into uh like a soccer academy and basically breeding them to do nothing but soccer.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I knew you were giving me that argument because I've heard that argument. But let me let me one up your argument with this. Okay, just hear me out.
SPEAKER_03Okay, all right.
SPEAKER_02All right, open ears. I don't know what the population of Belgium is. Okay, I don't, but I'll guarantee you it's not that far off from South Carolina. Okay, okay. All right, all right. Fact-check me. Put it in the comments, fact-check me, but I don't think I'm that far off with my fact check.
SPEAKER_03Maybe we could be doing it right now.
SPEAKER_02I don't give a shit. Maybe it's not South Carolina, but there is a state that is comparable to Belgium, okay? And I'm kind of just saying, like, throughout the entire country, we don't have that many enthusiastic parents pushing their kids early into soccer. I'm thinking yes. I don't know what the population of Belgium is. I haven't fact-checked this, but it's no more than 20 million. It's no more. 50? You think it's 50 million? I don't know. Put it, you guess. I'm not gonna be the only dumbass to guess the population of Belgium. So you Belgium beat US. So you jump from 20 to 50? Um, I'm gonna put it there. That's my range. The over-under is set at 35 million people.
SPEAKER_03So I'll Belgiumese. So I will okay, if you're over-under in 20.
SPEAKER_0235 is 35 is the over-under.
SPEAKER_0338.
SPEAKER_02So you're going over by a hair, okay. Uh, but uh all I'm saying is there's 310 million people in the United States. We've got so many more people. You don't, you don't think the same percentage that are pushing their kids over there in Belgium, you don't think we got that many people pushing their kids? No.
SPEAKER_03No, no, I would say there's at least 10 million people pushing them. We don't care about the sports the way foreign countries do.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we do, but just not specifically soccer. And you know why? It's because their asses are flopping so bad, and we never know when the game's gonna end. And the timing is all generic. And God, like yellow card, red card, I still don't get it. I don't know. Stop, slow down. I don't know. There's no green card. They should have a green card where you let you back in at the game if you get kicked out for being on good behavior. Here's your green card. Um, well, that can be most players probably need a green card to play. Oh my gosh, that's just been misconstrued. You were saying yellow and red. Okay. Uh, where were we going with this? Let's just talk about how John Riggins jersey is getting retired. Number 44. Yeah. Do is there any other notable 44s in franchise history? Not that I'm aware of. Once in a while I'll see somebody put on a 47 and I'll be like, that's Coley's jersey. You know. But I can't recall anybody really wearing 44. You know, Haskins tried to steal Tysman's jersey. Um we we saw how that worked out. But every once in a while you you see these guys put on uh an old guy's jersey, and you're like, that number, you you don't really have a right to wear that number. Um but nobody really, I don't think, really attempted 44. Sellers was 45. I can't really recall another 44. Nothing's sticking except for Riga. Except for Riga. Um we talked about running backs last week. Um he's not in our lifetime, or else he would have been on our list of favorite running backs. We would have added him to that list. Um, but I'm looking forward to that Washington wall. I'm looking forward to the stadium. I'm looking forward to this season. Do we know we know what week it is? Probably not off the top of our head. This is the one we're taking our moms to every year.
SPEAKER_03I think it's November. Yeah, I think it's like week 11 or 12.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that checks out. Um Love a Jersey retirement. And the they'll they'll have some kind of light show and call it.
SPEAKER_03If it's a night game, yeah, they'll they'll do that.
SPEAKER_02Well, that time of year, even if it's a four o'clock game, it ends up being a night game.
SPEAKER_03They'll do I mean the light shows they did last year were were pretty cool when they did um Monk's jersey. That was pretty cool.
SPEAKER_02Speaking of with with July 4th, did you see any of these drone shows?
SPEAKER_03Well, the drone show that uh Washington County was supposed to do as part of their fireworks got postponed because of the rain. And like this makes sense. I can't quite figure it out. They rescheduled the drone show and I guess another set of fireworks for sometime in September, I think. Okay. Because I was half tempted to go.
SPEAKER_02I've been seeing some videos, especially around July 4th, of a lot of cities' celebrations of the 250 and all that. And there's been a lot of light shows and drone shows along with all the fireworks shows. And some of these drone shows are just getting out of control, man. They're awesome. Um, but I've never seen one in person, so I didn't know.
SPEAKER_03No, I I've never seen a drone show. Redskin.
SPEAKER_02Should do an old drone show. But who knows? Maybe when they open their new stadium. Yeah. All right, let's get into some real football talk and get off of this whole soccer bullshit. Depth check. Depth check. Offensive line. What do you know about the O-line?
SPEAKER_03Not a damn thing, so why don't you tell me?
SPEAKER_02Dude, you gotta pay attention. You know why? Because we have a specific listener and we won't name names, but he'll test you. He'll test you, and he'll start with the O-line. You know that. You know that. So this is where, and you know, the guys on the O line. I was an offensive lineman, very underrated position. You know, these guys can go grocery shopping, no problem. Outside of the fact that they're massive human beings. You know, nobody's gonna be like, uh, you know, who are you? Or oh my god, you're so and so. Like nobody's I think these guys are are doing okay. You know what I mean? Nobody's stopping them down. Not to mention they're scary people. Who's gonna be able to do that?
SPEAKER_03Well, yeah, they're they're all like three, they're all like 350 pounds, you know.
SPEAKER_02So let's just go through it. Um I'm we're not gonna dive too much deep into it, but it's just good going into a season to come become familiar with who's starting at what position. So uh let's just start with the most valuable guy on the offensive line. It's our left tackle, who in a lot of people's eyes is a top five left tackle across the entire league. Um big Mofo. Did pretty good for us last year, but injury plagued season, but not because of him. He was he was there. But he he thought he signed $30 million extension, Laramie Tunsell, left tackle. Um we need him, we need him so bad. We need him to be healthy so bad because Jaden needs to stay healthy so bad. Um but this dude is huge and he's quick and he's awesome, and we just need him to be healthy all season long. Uh Trent Williams was notorious for being very healthy, like durable, I would say. He got banged up, but it it took a lot for him to come out of a game. Yeah. We need Tunzel to be that same rock on our offensive line.
SPEAKER_03Look, as long as they can protect JD, like whatever it whatever it takes to do that, because he's the most important.
SPEAKER_02He he's the most important when it comes to protecting JD, faux show, and then the guy on the opposite line side of the ball, the other tackle, our right tackle, um, rookie, rookie year last year, Josh Connorly. I nobody thinks he had a bad season. Um he's still a guy everybody's looking at with like a tremendous amount of potential. We'll see how much he's learned. And I I think it's super underrated from year to year how like the rookies, like they're going from combine to all the shit with the draft, to then like the rookie minicamp, and then all the OTAs, and then then training camp, and then you're just right into the season. And so, like, you go from playing in uh a bowl game to essentially just starting your entire rookie year from the moment you're drafted, it's not so like my hat is off to rookies that can come in and like overperform uh their expectations uh with all that being said. You know, it's gotta be tough. So hoping that with an entire offseason and then like obviously we've got a new offensive scheme, so he's kind of like relearning, but I don't know. I I I'm feeling really high on Connor Lee. Um and then a guy who was banged up all of last year at right guard standing right next to him was Cosby. He was banged up last year, and it was unfortunate because it would seem like where we needed holes to be filled, it would have been great if Cosby just would have been consistent, but it it was unfortunate. Now, to the opposite side of that, you had Chris Paul fighting and taking over Brandon Coleman's spot last year at guard, um at left guard. So there was a lot of moving around, and it kind of like rightfully so, but like you like to see a guy in Chris Paul that took a spot last year and just maintains the starting uh spot on the roster. Um and then at center, he's new to center. I'm sure he's played center before. I don't know, but he's new to center with us, and that's Al Gretti. And I think he's the perfect guy to be at the center position from a previous center. He's kind of like a glue kind of a guy, and that's what you need at the center position. He's definitely a leader. I don't know if he's the leader, but he feels like he's the leader on the offensive line. Um, you know, just because you're the biggest guy and the and the highest paid guy, like Tunzel, doesn't mean you're you're necessarily the de facto leader of the offensive line. Right. And you don't have to be the best center in the league to be like a captain at that position. Um, I think Al Grady is a guy that a lot of I think he's embracing the center position. Um and then as far as O line go, you know, you just can't take those five guys. Like you got Brandon Coleman who got his spot taken, and then you got another guy, McKay. Um, and I know I've we've got a ton of other guys that may or may not make the team. There's too many guys all across the dev chart for offensive linemen. And I honestly, I should know this, but I don't how many offensive line do we even carry from week to week? Because I think it's like it's not ten. You know what I mean? Like you got five offensive line spots. I don't think we're taking ten.
SPEAKER_03Maybe we are. You're you're you're not carrying double. You're carrying seven, eight, eight, seven to eight, but you're definitely not carrying ten. You're you're not doubling up. So it's seven to eight.
SPEAKER_02Once we get through cuts and all that, like I'm I'm gonna really take note of of the position groups because I I think we were off with our depth check last week. We were thinking that we might carry five running backs, but I don't think that's true. I think it might be four. And in which case, who are we gonna cut?
SPEAKER_03Well, we already talked about that. So let's they can they can they can listen to the previous episodes.
SPEAKER_02We already discussed that in our next episode on our drive down uh to the stadium in our next podcast. I'm already gonna let you know. We're we're just gonna lump in the entire defense into the depth check because, like, gosh, it's so difficult to go position group by position group because with our defense, nose guard, two down linemen, and then our linebackers, and it's but like our linebackers are they like an outside linebacker and a defensive end are same, same but different, and we've got both, but our defense isn't aligned up for that. Uh so we'll dive into to what I mean by by all that shit. But like basically two middle linebackers, two outside backers, but then we have guys on our team who are defensive ends, and then we have guys on our team that are outside linebackers, and there is a slight difference between the two, but it gets confusing. But anyway, we'll talk about we'll talk about the defense as a whole. I I I'm getting excited for our defense, especially the linebackers, especially the linebackers inside specifically, but I like outside, and I'm excited about our safeties. But you're excited about everything. Just say you're excited about it all. I'm excited about it all, but I'm also like there's so much room to improve on our defense from last year to to where it's like all the way around.
SPEAKER_03That's why, yeah, that's why I'm excited. And no one wants improvement more than Dan Quinn because his seat be getting warm. Well, again, yeah, well, I mean, can't say it yet. I can't say it yet. Everyone else is saying it, I can say it. Okay. If the national media is already saying that his seat is warm, I can say it on this podcast, okay? Yeah. And I've already said it multiple times, so I'm gonna say it again.
SPEAKER_02Oh, no. I don't think it's quite as warm as as everybody thinks.
SPEAKER_03Well, you're wrong.
SPEAKER_02We've talked about it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, we've talked about it. They can they can listen to previous episodes. So let the uh viewer slash listener be the judge if we're right. Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_02Okay. But I will say before we sign off on the offensive line, um just from doing a little bit of research today and kind of scouting around and kind of looking to see what else is out there, do the rest of our division sucks. I think our I think our offensive line has potential if we stay healthy to be kind of the better grouping in the NFC. And we need NFC East, and we need it to be. Oh 100%. Especially with like a question mark uh in the backfield with running backs, and especially with a questionable second year with Jaden, we both think that he's going to improve. And well, he had a questionable year in his second.
SPEAKER_03We're hoping that his but again, he only had a questionable year because he was injured. And if you've been watching the uh quarterbacks on Netflix, which I have, I haven't finished the whole season. I'm like six episodes in, I think. Man, I have some thoughts there. Um all right.
SPEAKER_02Well, we'll save those thoughts for the next uh season because I I think I'm four, I think of four episodes in.
SPEAKER_03Because I think it's are there eight episodes?
SPEAKER_02I feel like I don't know, six or seven, but maybe it's seven. If you're on six, maybe it's seven.
SPEAKER_03I think I'm on six, um but yeah, we'll we'll talk about that another time. I do have some thoughts.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Specifically about the the JD thing, of course.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Um, but altogether, yeah. You're gonna talk about it as well.
SPEAKER_04Um let's do that in an instant replay.
SPEAKER_02Okay, instant replay. Um we have some comments from the peanut gallery. We appreciate the peanut gallery. So this is our plug. Uh uh, by all means, if you're listening, please comment. Tell us what we said wrong. Um so we've got this on YouTube uh at JGeezer B6H. Uh, this is from the last podcast, Mikey. Okay. We were talking about the idiocracy movie. Right. Uh yep. So he's got a couple comments here. One of them, we were we were trying to figure out what that drink was with electrolytes.
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_02It got electrolytes. It yeah. It's Brondo.
SPEAKER_03Brondo, okay.
SPEAKER_02I think we said booty sweat. Yeah, that was we got that.
SPEAKER_03That's what we said.
SPEAKER_02We got yeah, we got it mixed up with Tropic Thunder. Booty sweat, but Brondo, uh, he said fact check, it's got what plant plants crave. Electrolytes. So it's he says, hey guys, just want to say first time listener, long time commenter. Two comments, got it. First time listener, long time commenter. Uh so his other comment that he's got here, because we did ask what was your favorite uh running back of your life. So uh old Jay Geezer must be a little older than us. Think there is an argument for one of the top-tier Redskins running backs would go to John Riggins, because that's the way the white man runs the football, and that's the bottom line, because Gard Dunham said so. Would okay. That's his whole comment. So um that's from Jay Geezer. Appreciate you listening, Jay Geezer. Um Yeah, bring the comments. Let's hear them. You know, there's something to be said about white running backs, they're few and far between these days. Uh, if you rank them across the board, John Ravens is probably number one.
SPEAKER_03Um I don't know, I don't see race, so yeah.
SPEAKER_02Me and you both, but but I can in the sense that running backs are few and far between when it comes to those guys. I mean, I think that that everybody would agree. It's hard for those guys to run the rock these days. Fullbacks, you got a lot of white fullbacks.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, you're definitely right about that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you're definitely right about that. Um but yeah. So I agree with old Jay Geezer. Thanks, buddy, for listening. Um, all right, all right. We're we're now obviously into the fourth quarter section of the hotel. We just went right in when the Jaden Daniels on the rocks is flowing and we start talking about white man running footballs. Um you started talking about it. Oh, don't be so touchy. Um we already touched on this Ayuk Saga being over. Um, I do want to put out there for the masses, I need your help. I am I I've got a podcast, I've got a TikTok, so why not use the fan base to help me with my fantasy football team? We're gonna kick their ass. We picked our uh draft picks for the fantasy league this year, Mike, and I've got the third pick in the draft.
SPEAKER_03When do you do those?
SPEAKER_02When we were in Ocean City a couple weeks back. Oh, okay. We picked them out of a hat. Uh the old pick out of the hat. That's how we do it. We don't really get we don't really get crazy, but we do pick it every year. Um But yeah, who should I take with the third overall pick in my fantasy draft? It's a uh full PPR, and there's it's a 12-team uh league. So how many? Well I mean who should I take? A third pick uh uh and with my second and third round picks, who should I take? Sound off in the comments. I need your help. Um RG3's dumb.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I saw something. Tell me what that was, what that was about. I saw an Instagram video or something. It was a TikTok.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, so you see this thing's going viral with these like net Netflix documentary.
SPEAKER_03And he's like sitting down waiting for them to ask me about something, and I was just like, oh, RG3, and I I passed because I don't really care about his grandiose uh vision of how he was for us.
SPEAKER_02He must realize that the most attention that he gets is when he talks about the Redskins, his time with the Redskins.
SPEAKER_03Well, I mean, that was basically his career. After that, he went to where? He went to the Browns. Right. Everything goes to the Browns to die. Okay?
SPEAKER_02They also play with the Ravens.
SPEAKER_03But you're right. He didn't do much there either, okay? No, he didn't. I mean, like I told you before, we broke him, and he wasn't the same after. Didn't matter where he went, he just wasn't there's an argument to be said he broke himself. Um that's not how he sees it, just ask him.
SPEAKER_02I know, that's why I'm saying that's what this TikTok is saying. So yeah, I mean, but my thing is this this is like it's been proven over time that the high road is the road to be on when it comes to like your life.
SPEAKER_03And I saw and I thought he was on the high road, but um it does not appear over the last what year or so because he keeps he keeps bringing it up in these, you know, in these little He was supposed to write a book and release a book like two or three years ago. I don't need to read his book, I lived it. Okay. What's he gonna tell me in his five-year NFL career? Nothing that I don't already know. That's a little spicy, but I don't give a great okay. Okay, okay. All right. Well well what else you've got? Oh, I've got a number of uh let me have it different things. These are in no particular I love it when you ask my opinion. Yeah. God knows I give mine enough. Uh the Seahawks, uh that team was sold a few weeks back for 9.612 billion with a B dollars billion for CEO.
SPEAKER_02What were we? Five 5.6, 6.2, something like that?
SPEAKER_03It was like 6.2. Um, but with with this market, I did see.
SPEAKER_02Go off a Super Bowl. I wonder how much they would have got bought for last season, you know? But like how much more did they get because the Super Bowl went?
SPEAKER_03I mean, that definitely helped. Well, sure.
SPEAKER_02Um but like I'm just curious, like how much more?
SPEAKER_03You know, I'm well did you see with this with them going for like 9.6 and we went for what like 6.2 or whatever, 6.1 and some change, Cowboys are valued at like 15 to 20, I think. So you know, if they ever sell that's just astronomical. Like I would have never have thought if we in DC as a media market went for like 6.1, 6.2, that Seattle would go for 9.6. That just seems like they overpaid by comfortably, I'd say maybe two and a half.
SPEAKER_02I don't know. Well, it reminds me, I've recently found out why gas stations started charging for uh people pumping up their tires full of air. You know, you know why? Why? Inflation. Jesus. Okay. Dude, you you hate that shit. I don't I don't care. No, but inflation. That's gotta have something to do with the 9.6 billion dollars.
SPEAKER_03So uh, and then keeping with the Seahawks, because I gotta get you off these stupid ass jokes. Um they are the subject of the new season of Hard Knox. Hard Knox is with the Seahawks, the Super Bowl champion that premieres, I believe, on August the 4th, um, is when that starts.
SPEAKER_02I'll almost I'll bet money that their Super Bowl rings don't have stupid ass wings like the Eagles do. Do you remember that? There's like a little button on the side of their Super Bowl wings and like the wings flat flat.
SPEAKER_03Oh, I know. I no, I must have missed that. Nobody cares. It's Philly. Who gives a shit? Um and then a couple other hot five things. Um, according to Yahoo Sports, uh, these are the projected win totals for our division. Uh-huh. Okay.
SPEAKER_02Wait, wait, wait. Should we just add it in our first our first segment of the year for the Beast and the Least?
SPEAKER_04Dallas Talks Go Birds. It's the greatest city in the world.
SPEAKER_00It was glory hole days, and I've been here when it wasn't. And so having said that, uh uh, I won't meet some glory hole.
SPEAKER_02NFT. And we're back. All right. Give us the rundown. Wait, let me predict. Do you want me to go from top to bottom? No, from bottom to top. I'm gonna predict Giants, Commanders, Cowboys, Eagles.
SPEAKER_03Uh okay. I don't remember what you just said.
SPEAKER_02I'm just focused on the on the toads. All right, who's fourth and how many wins?
SPEAKER_03All right. So um there's a tie for fourth at uh yeah, this is according to Yahoo Sports. A tie for fourth at uh seven and a half wins, so round it to eight, okay, because I hate half numbers, so just round it to eight. Uh Washington You do understand the half number. Yeah. Okay. Uh Washington and New York.
SPEAKER_02Okay. I'm going, I'm going under on New York. I'm going over on Washington.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Yeah. Right now, I would say you're probably right.
SPEAKER_02I hope so. God, I hope the Giants suck.
SPEAKER_03Uh and then next is Dallas at uh nine and a half. I think that's a tad high, but they're just naturally inflated, you know, like RG3's.
SPEAKER_02I don't want to say too much because Tom and I bet. And oh, okay. I don't want to I don't want to reveal too much.
SPEAKER_03Right. So I understand that. I understand that. Um, and then leading the division of again, according to Yahoo Sports, uh, Philly at ten and a half.
SPEAKER_02I mean tied for fourth as a cop out, Yahoo Sports. I mean, that's that's dumb.
SPEAKER_03I mean, just based just based off of last season, I think it's Philly number one, Dallas two, us three, and New York four. But with all the changes that New York especially has made and pending, I I think for New York that's probably about right.
SPEAKER_02I can see why their expectations will do be there. And to be completely honest, like Jackson Dark, like to me, he looks like a glorified Heinekee.
SPEAKER_03And and the way the way uh Scatterboom's going, he's gonna injure himself before the season even starts. He did some flip or some shit the other day.
SPEAKER_02Dude's gonna be on WWE before you know it.
SPEAKER_03I mean, and oh, speaking of WWE, good segue there, Bob. Good segue, yeah. You didn't even know that I was gonna tee up on this. What? But uh Tom Brady is in discussions with WWE to uh do uh do a storyline, do a thing.
SPEAKER_02I heard Tom Brady's gay.
SPEAKER_03Because well, I mean, uh I don't know. I uh don't know anything about that. Uh we'll let our viewers decide uh on that. But of course uh apparently because uh at Fanatics Fest, which was last weekend, uh there was a confrontation between uh Tom Brady and Logan Paul, who I'm sure like a scripted confrontation? Yeah, of course, it's all a script.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Uh because you know he's a full-time wrestler now, Logan Paul. I hate it.
SPEAKER_02So it's like a thing between those two celebrities that are it's like being transformed into WWE. So they they they did a thing there, you know, it's like a Kimmel and Matt Damon deal.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. So they're they're in discussions to work out a contract for him potentially to do uh, you know, what is that? Thunder or something?
SPEAKER_02You know, it sure sounds like thunder.
SPEAKER_03Um, but anyway, there's discussions there for him to obviously do uh a match. And um I have to agree with somebody I saw write it on Facebook. If Jelly Roll can do it, Tom Brady certainly can do it.
SPEAKER_02It's not a matter of whether or not he can do it. I mean, it's like, Tom, do you want to be in the same breath as Jelly Roll? I think that's the better conversation there when it comes to like that, like isn't WWE WWE's gonna be beneath somebody, but then again, I guess Trump's been on it.
SPEAKER_03Uh yeah, but Trump was on it before he was the current DJ.
SPEAKER_02I'm just saying, like, it's not beneath anybody.
SPEAKER_03Like it's Trump was on it when people actually kind of liked him as a subject.
SPEAKER_02You want to have a fake feud, like Tom, you want to have a fake feud with Jake Paul on WWE? And what like what's like what's the outcome here? I mean, he's still playing in the midst of the city. Like anything.
SPEAKER_03It's like anything else, like when we were growing up and you get celebrities, it's just to get eyes on the product.
SPEAKER_02I know. I just thought, and and look, by all means, that's all I like this. I'm not a Tom Brady fan. I'm convinced he's gay. And um and I think gay like the 12th, 12-year-old me is calling Tom Brady gay. Like, I don't actually think he's almost actually I do, but that's neither here nor there. All I'm trying to say is Tom Brady is gay, and and and what I'm saying is that the WWE's gotta you're a co-owner of an NFL team. You are the you are on the broadcast of Fox Sports of a commentary. You're making $30 million a year talking into a microphone talking about games. You don't like take the road that Joe Buck and Troy Aikman are taking and like only pop up on game day and then just like disappear into the background curtain for the other six days of the week. For the NFL, like it's already a contract, a conflict of interest that he's co-owner of the Raiders, and he's having interviews and commentating on these.
SPEAKER_03For Fox Fort, yeah, which is again, we know this. This is why he's not able to attend certain prep meetings for the network.
SPEAKER_02But even still, you can't tell me that there's no conflict of interest, and because there is.
SPEAKER_03Well, there's no conflict of interest for him to go to WWE and have a a throwdown.
SPEAKER_02It's not a conflict of interest for him to be on the WWE, but I'm just saying, like, what other NFL owners or co-owners are going on to the WWE and participating in that kind of stuff? And I'm not saying that maybe you're interpreting me like belittling WWE because you're a fan of it, but I'm just saying, like, at a certain point, like Tom, like no.
SPEAKER_03Like, his right. His I get what you're saying. His his level of sports celebrity is above the the overall product of what WWE can do for you. I get that, I get that 100%.
SPEAKER_02And I I mean, I feel like George Kittle's perfect for the WWE, but like, but but like, and and perfect for his image or whatever. And I also also I wouldn't, but like if Travis Kelsey with everything that he's trying to do and the celebrity that he's trying to be, like if he went on WWE, he'd kind of be like, that's a weird move. Right. And then everybody, and then everybody would also kind of be like, How would Taylor feel about that? But like she wouldn't approve, so he wouldn't do it. No, but which is also why we'd say, like, uh, why? Which is like, and I'm sure there's a couple handful of other names that I could call out. Um, but I'm not going to. But it's like you'd be like, oh, really? He's on WWE? Why? It's be like, oh, did you hear that Harry Mandel's got a beef? He's going on WWE to handle it. It's just like, what? Really? Why? Right, right.
SPEAKER_03You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_02I don't know. Anyway, uh, what else you got? Hodgepodge it up.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. And then the last thing I got, you can make any comments you want. Uh, this afternoon, uh, the anvil was swinging at ESPN and with the NFL network. Some noticeable firings.
SPEAKER_02How many people got fired?
SPEAKER_03Uh, by my list.
SPEAKER_02I saw I I only saw one notable named.
SPEAKER_03I have six people listed. Oh. Uh in no particular order. Uh Carl Ravage, he was uh baseball. Uh Tom Polisario. Uh they fired some Sports Center um anchors, who I'm not familiar with, so I'm not even gonna say who they are. Uh Charles Davis and Ryan Clark.
SPEAKER_02Ryan Clark. Steeler and Redskin.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And did he play anywhere else?
SPEAKER_03Uh, not that I know of, but I'm sure if you ask him, he'll say he played everywhere.
SPEAKER_02So you're saying ESPN is hiring. Yes, yes. Let's go. You know, podcasts are the new thing. They might be looking out for talent like us that could just riff off the cuff for a whole hour long with no notes.
SPEAKER_03Send us a message. I mean, we got notes, but it's on a dry race report, right? Right, like every other like every other podcast. Yeah. Uh, but yeah, so that's uh that's what I got. I don't know. You got anything else?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, what do we want, Jim? Because we uh we need to tell the people, but I mean they know that you're the Regal Crown Club card member and you see unlimited movies. We just saw The Odyssey.
SPEAKER_03Third best movie of the year. I mean, I think it's the best movie of the year.
SPEAKER_02Um I liked I like The Odyssey, I like Disclosure Day, and I'll I'll put Hail Mary. I think we got the same top three so far, but you've got them in a different order, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Top three. Uh one is Disclosure Day, two is Hail Mary, and three is the Odyssey.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, same order, but different or same same movies, different order. Um I it's just to me, the Odyssey was just a different caliber of movie. I'm a huge Christopher Nolan fan. The way he cuts. But it was it was a phenomenal movie. I mean, the it was loud in the theater too.
SPEAKER_03Um there were a couple times you uh you could feel your It was shaking.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, like the theater was shaking, and I love that. I mean, that's why you go see a movie in the theater, is to kind of get the not just the 40-yard screen in front of you, but to get the the the stereo with as well.
SPEAKER_03I'm uh I'm up to 38 movies thus far this year.
SPEAKER_0238 is the total as of you are on pace, my friend. So you are on pace. Well, what else is out there? Because Dun Ranch is over.
SPEAKER_03Um right now there's not much out there. I've uh I was talking to work today. I probably, unless there's something coming out this weekend that I don't know though, probably won't watch anything until Spider-Man at the end of the month.
SPEAKER_02I've been watching House of Dragon on your HBO Max. Thank you very much. The last episode kind of was was it kind of sucked. This season was. Yeah, I never got into that stuff, so like it's you should. I mean, it's better. I mean, I was apprehensive at first when it came to all those shows. It was like dragons, what what's it about? I've been thrown.
SPEAKER_03Have you been watching and do you have uh I forget? Do you have but it's good.
SPEAKER_02You should check it out.
SPEAKER_03Do you have the uh like the Apple TV, Apple Plus stuff? Because I've been watching uh Cape Fear on Apple TV. Yes, it is it's kind of a slow burn, it's but it it's good. I like it.
SPEAKER_02How long are the episodes?
SPEAKER_03They're hour-long episodes.
SPEAKER_02How many episodes in season one?
SPEAKER_03There are, I only know this because I Googled it. There's 10 episodes, and eight of the episodes have already been released.
SPEAKER_02I'll wait two weeks.
SPEAKER_03So um, and I've obviously watched all eight, but um Wow, okay, so it's that good. I I like it.
SPEAKER_02Did you see speaking of Apple Plus, did you see the second season of the uh John Ham? I had not what's it called? Uh neighbors, something uh something neighbor.
SPEAKER_03Your friends and neighbors. I have not gone back to finish that, so I'm probably only about season one was good.
SPEAKER_02I was hooked on season one. Why am I disinterested in season two?
SPEAKER_03I'm only I think when I left off, I'm probably only about four episodes into season two. But I can say, even in those four episodes, I don't know if it's I'm I'm gonna go back and watch it because I'm a fan of John Hamm, but. I don't know if it I'm as drawn into season two for some reason. Just these couple episodes in, it's not pulling me in the way the first season did. Yeah. Because the first season I was in from the first episode, I was like, wow, this is this is different. This is Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I I I thought I'd be more excited for the second season to start, but I guess the trailer kind of didn't get me excited about where it was going. So I'd just been waiting for someone to tell me, watch it, but no one has. So I have it. But probably whenever, you know, over the next couple weeks, when I weren't you telling me that there's a documentary out about the Wolf of Wall Street?
SPEAKER_03Yes, on Paramount Plus.
SPEAKER_02Oh, something like that.
SPEAKER_03There's uh a real life documentary on the Wolf of Wall Street. It's literally called The Real Wolf of Wall Street, and it's about the real Jordan Belfort.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Um it's about I'll check it out. I think it's about 90 minutes to two hours. It's pretty good. I mean, I didn't know anything about the real guy.
SPEAKER_02I mean, is it that dissolar from the movie?
SPEAKER_03Uh all in all, no. They'll tell you that some stuff in the movie never happened. Um but obviously Hollywood takes some liberties. Um, but all in all, the overall story, very similar to the movie. Uh at least that's what I got. Right.
SPEAKER_02All right. Um I think by the next time we we record, uh Ted Lasso will have restarted.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that's that comes back in August sometimes. So it yeah.
SPEAKER_02All right. Well, and speaking of next time, next time we will be commanding the commute on the way to the stadium for Friday night football. Miami Dolphins, man, we're gonna kick it.
SPEAKER_03I tell you, that's gonna be a barn burner.
SPEAKER_02Uh yeah, well, preseason games suck, but we're gonna look forward to going to the game. Did we decide we're just gonna go check out their new food? Because they got new food items.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, we we talked about that in the first quarter. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02All right. Because I was gonna say, like, this season we're looking for uh podcast sponsors for all home games. We're looking for gas sponsors, we're looking for tailgate sponsors, and we are looking for game day sponsors. And if your boss is a fan of the Washington Commanders and enjoys podcasts and would appreciate the extra shout out for their business, I'll tell you what, our rates are not that high. So DM us, let us know. I've got that worksheet all ready to send out to your boss. Uh, we'll give you in your business a shout-out on our way, uh, on our way to the game. So hail to the commanders, hail to the Redskins, and hail to Command the Commute. We'll see you guys next time.
SPEAKER_01It's over.
